There are several types of down the hole drills

1. Convex end face type: This type of drill bit comes in two forms, single convex and double convex end faces, with the latter mainly used for larger diameter down hole drills. The convex face type down the hole drill bit can maintain a high drilling rate when drilling hard and abrasive rocks, but the straightness of the borehole is poor, making it unsuitable for rock drilling projects with high requirements for borehole straightness.

2. Flat end face type: This type of drill bit is relatively sturdy and durable, suitable for drilling hard and extremely hard rocks, as well as for drilling medium hard and soft rocks with low requirements for borehole straightness.

3. End face concave type: This type of drill head has a conical concave part on the end face, which forms a mild nucleation effect during the rock drilling process to maintain the centering performance of the drill bit. The drilled blast hole has good straightness, and this type of drill bit has good powder removal effect and fast drilling speed, making it a commonly used downhole drill bit in the market.

4. End face deep concave center type: This type of drill bit is evolved from the same type of ball tooth drill head, and the center of the end face of the drill bit has a deep concave center part. Used for nucleation during rock drilling, ensuring the flatness of the borehole when drilling deep holes, only suitable for drilling soft and medium hard rocks.
